South Winneshiek Community Schools is loud and proud


South Winneshiek Community Schools has a lot to be proud of. The boys cross country team just qualified their 10th team in a row to the state meet and the football team just rounded out a 9-2 season. 

"We had a great group of seniors that the teams going to be missing next year and it was just an overall good season, good time to play, and a lot of fun," Austin Ashbacher, senior football player said.

The team also had a playoff win beating New Hampton in the first round.

Besides South Winneshiek's sports teams, the student government is also keeping busy. They just wrapped up a student run blood drive and are in the process of a food drive. After all the food is collected it will be donated to the Decorah Food Pantry.
