The Johnson County Sheriff's Office says a formerly deported man was arrested on Wednesday following a traffic stop.

A deputy stopped a white car on Highway 218 near Highway 1 just before 5:00 p.m. Wednesday because it was being driven with a flat tire.

The deputy says the driver gave him a driver's license from Mexico with the name of Mario Mendoza.

During a search of the car, the deputy found a California driver's license with the name Dolores Emilio Adame and a matching social security card.

The driver admitted that he bought the license for $120 and then signed three traffic tickets with the name Mario Mendoza.

After a records search, the deputy found that the driver was actually 28-year old Jose Mario Roldan.

Roldan was arrested and admitted that he was scared to give his real information because he had previously been deported as Jose Roldan.

Roldan is charged with tampering with records, interference with official acts, no insurance, failure to have a valid license and unlawful use of a license.
