Missing Cedar Falls man found safe


UPDATE: Cedar Falls Police say Max Boyd, 90, was found Thursday evening in Blairstown.

 The Benton County Sheriff's Office found Boyd is in good health and safe.


A 90-year-old male with dementia went missing Thursday.

Max Boyd was last seen at his residence in the Mallard Point Retirement Community on Wednesday night around 6:30 p.m.

His family reported him missing Thursday morning when he was expected to meet them for breakfast but did not show up.

Boyd is thought to be driving his vehicle, a blue 2012 Ford Escape XLT with Iowa license plate 187AEL.

Police say Boyd suffers from dementia and has gotten lost while driving in the past.
