CF drops City High 21-7 to move to quarters


Cedar Falls snapped a five-game winless streak against Iowa City High in the playoffs by snatching a 21-7 victory over the Little Hawks on Monday night at the UNI Dome.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Tigers Brayden Longnecker would score on a 12 yard run for an early 7-0 Cedar Falls lead.  Running back Barkley Hill added a 6 yard score to give the Tigers a 14-0 halftime lead.

Hill's second touchdown of the game would make it 21-0, while City found the end zone late to cap the scoring on the evening.

Cedar Falls advances to face Cedar Rapids Washington on Friday night.  The Warriors took down top seeded Linn-Mar to move in to the quarterfinals.
