The first round of the football playoffs pit two teams together that like to ground and pound. The North Fayette Hawks led by Jake Greco with more than 1,800 yards rushing and 24 touchdowns squared off against a Clarion-Goldfield team with two backs that each put up more than 1,000 yards on the ground during the regular season.
The Hawks found themselves behind the eight ball right away losing 7 to 22 at the half, but that's when Greco and his offensive line turned it on. In fact, an offensive series that only took two plays. Greco running 11 yards and then finding an opening and darting 52-yards to the house putting the Hawks back in business only down by 8, 14 to 22.
The Clarion-Goldfield Cowboys had other plans and in only 8 plays they moved the ball to the Hawk's 35-yard line. That's when #17 Wayatt Sann finds the open field running 35 yards for the touchdown.
The Cowboys miss the extra point keeping the score 28 to 14 at the half and in the end the Clarion-Goldfield Cowboys hog tie the Hawks 43 to 21.
