Union, now 8-2 on the season, advances to play defending Class 3A State Champion, Solon, Monday night in Solon.

Wes Burnside scored two touchdowns for the Knights, including the first score of the game on a tremendous second effort, which gave Union a 7-0.

Washington answered in the second quarter on a short touchdown keeper by Demons quarterback Jake Redlinger.

The Union offensive line took control of the line of scrimmage in the third quarter as Burnside scored a second touchdown and a 14-7 Union lead.

Washington appeared out of it, until Jake Redlinger found Brock Kimball all alone in the end zone for a Washington touchdown with just two-minutes to play.
