The offensive fireworks started early and they didn't end until the final horn.
West High put up more than 700 yards of offense en route to a 66-32 win over Dubuque Wahlert.
The two senior quarterbacks in this one were determined not to make Wednesday night's game their last.
Wahlert's Riley McCarron ran for a 19 yard score and a spectacular 51 yard touchdown as part of a wild third quarter.
But West's Charles Rogers had all the answers, throwing for two long touchdown passes in the quarter. He was responsible for five touchdowns on the game.
The Trojans pulled away at the end of the quarter after McCarron left the game with a leg injury. West High's Richard Bryant scored on a nine yard touchdown run to put his team up three scores.
West High will play North Scott in the second round.
