Wapsie Valley shuts down Starmont

Wapsie Valley and Starmont both entered Friday's game with 7 and 1 records with their only loss coming at the hands of Turkey Valley. This game was a battle for a share of the District 5 Championship.

The Stars are led by Vincent Otdoerfer and his 1,500 plus yards and 23 touchdowns. While Wapsie Valley was unbeaten until that crazy OT finish last week against Turkey Valley.

On Wapsie Valley's first possession they march 75 yards and the drive is capped by Tyler Odneal from 4 yards out. A missed PAT would make it 6-0 Warriors.

In the second and the Warriors were on the move again, this time Mitchell Boevers rolls out and finds Adam Bachman and the big man does the rest, rumbling down the sidelines for 50 to the end zone. Two point conversions failed, Warriors up 12-0.

In the third, Warriors open with the ball and they march 64 yards in 9 plays capped by a bruising 14 yard run by Tyler Odneal, his second touchdown of the night to give the Warriors a 19-0 lead.

And they were just too much for the Stars, as the Warriors clinch home field next week and a share of the District title with a 26-7 victory.
