Columbus falls to Clarion-Goldfield 35-14


It's senior night at Columbus-- and the Sailors playing with a lot of emotion tonight for their 12 member senior class...

Clarion-Goldfield driving early in the first quarter--but the Cowboys' Wyatt Sann is stripped of the ball near the goal line-- and when the dust finally settled-- Drew Lederman of Columbus is credited with the fumble recovery for a touchback to keep this game scoreless.

Clarion-Goldfield led 8-0 late in the first quarter--when Aundra Meeks and his Sailors put together a big drive.

On 3rd and goal from the 13, Columbus quarterback Michael Letkewicz fires a pass to Jordan Martin who stretches across the line for the score... The Sailors pull to within 8-7 at the end of the second quarter.

But Clarion-Goldfield comes right back-- Jake Haberman pounds it into the end zone to give the Cowboys a 14-7 lead.

And with the half winding down--the cowboys look for more-- quarterback Adam Stevens throws it deep--- but the Sailors' Ben Jasper comes up with the interception at his own four yard line-- Columbus trailed 14-7 at halftime..and Clarion-Goldfield beats the Sailors 35-14.
