Tripoli comeback stuns Janesville 32-29


A stunning comeback in Janesville as Tripoli overcame a late deficit to beat the Wildcats in an 8-player matchup.

It was Senior Night at Janesville but the visitors would take an early lead.

James Barz one-yard keeper made it 6-0 Panthers.

They would add to the lead when Barz took the option keeper into the end zone to make it 12-0 Tripoli.

Janesville would control the 2nd quarter with 2 TDs including a Hunter Meyer pass to Nick Watson followed by 2 point conversion on a fake extra point.

Janesville would take a 22-12 lead when Meyer connected with Chris Bright.

But the Panthers would pull of a stunning fourth quarter comeback and beat Janesville 32-29 on the final play of the game to keep their playoff hopes alive.
