CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

The Cedar Rapids Titans announced on Tuesday that they have signed former University of Northern Iowa wide receiver Johnny Gray along with four other players.

Gray, who played with the Panthers from 2005 - 2008, has spent the last two seasons in the Indoor Football League with the Bloomington Extreme.

As a Panther, Gray caught 141 passes, racking up 1,912 receiving yards.  He also compiled 3,724 all-purpose yards.

In 2011, Gray caught 79 passes for 663 yards and 9 touchdowns with Bloomington.

"We are extremely excited to pick up Johnny," said Titans General Manager Chris Kokalis in a written statement. "He's an explosive receiver who is headed in the right direction to make it to the next level."

The Titans also signed former Bloomington Extreme quarterback Haven Mosely to a one year deal.  In four games with the Extreme, Mosely completed 26 of 48 passes for 234 yards and four touchdowns.

Also added to the Titans roster is offensive lineman Juliene Adams, defensive back Brandon Henderson, and wide receiver Robert Kirvin.

The Cedar Rapids Titans will begin the 2012 regular season in February.  They will play seven home games at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.  In 2013, the Titans are slated to play their home games at the U.S. Cellular Center.
