WATERLOO (KWWL) -

The Iowa State Patrol says it has a person of interest in the search to find the driver involved in a hit and run accident over the weekend.

The crash happened around 10:15 p.m. Saturday night at the intersection of Highway 57 and North Butler Road.

Troopers say 47-year-old Joan Nicholson was on her motorcycle when a black pick-up truck crossed the center line and hit her. The driver of the truck didn't stop and continued west on Highway 57.

Nicholson was taken to a Waterloo hospital.
