Falcons soar past the Cardinals at the Sacred Acre

Aplington-Parkersburg is fresh off its 42-7 victory over previously unbeaten Dike-New Hartford. The Falcons have won their last three games by a combined score of 130 to 26. Garner-Hayfield came in Friday night with a 2-2 district record.

The Falcons have hit their stride as of late and they wanted to keep moving forward on Friday night.

In the first, quarterback Curry Hoff would roll out and he would find Shason Peterson in the end zone. With the extra point A-P would go up by seven early.

A little later in the first Garner-Hayfield's Devin Chidester would punt the ball to Curry Hoff. Hoff would take the punt to the near side line and dive for the end zone. With the extra point A-P would go up 14 to nothing.

The Cardinals would flex their defensive muscle here in the first as they would hold the Falcons on 4th down on their own one yard line. The Cardinals would not capitalize on the stand.

The Falcons would keep rolling in the second quarter as quarter back Spencer Cooper would roll and take it in himself. Falcons go up by 21 early in the second.

At the end of the second quarter the Falcons would test out their two minute drill and they would run it to perfection. It would be capped off with a three yard run by Jason Grill. Falcons would go into halftime up 28 to nothing.

In the second half the Falcons would continue to soar higher than the Cardinals. Aplington-Parkersburg beats Garner-Hayfield 48 to 16.
