CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

Cedar Rapids Police say westbound Williams Boulevard at Highway 30 has reopened after a crash that shut down Williams Boulevard.

Sergeant Cristy Hamblin says a car driven by Haliegh Hayes, 19, of Cedar Rapids, was eastbound on Williams Boulevard at around 9:11 a.m. this morning when the car veered into the median for an unknown reason and rolled several times.

Hamblin says Hayes was ejected while her passenger, Trenton McCleary, 25, of Cedar Rapids, stayed in the vehicle.  She says neither appeared to be wearing their seatbelt.  Both were taken to Mercy Medical Center where Hayes remains with what Hamblin is calling life threatening head injuries.  McCleary left the hospital without being released.

McClearly was found and taken to St. Lukes Hospital.

Police have charged charged him with drug paraphernalia, and taken him to the Linn County jail.

Hamblin says the crash is still under investigation.
