UPDATE: Missing woman found injured in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY (KWWL) -

A missing person report from Tuesday turned into the discovery of an injured woman overnight.

The Bellevue Police Department said officers received a phone call from the woman's husband at 9:14 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials have now identified the woman as 51-year-old Mary Ellen Oneal Feltes.

The Division of Criminal Investigation said Jackson County sheriff's deputies found her in a ravine on the property of a rural Jackson County home, near Bellevue. Med Force Air Care helicopter then airlifted her to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

As of the Jackson County Sheriff's Department's most recent media release, Thursday at 2:45 p.m., Mary Ellen Oneal Feltes remained hospitalized in Iowa City. Officials did not release her condition.

Officials say the public is not at risk. The Jackson County Sheriff's Department said officials suspect no foul play.
