Dysart Lions Club help soldier's family

Storm clean-up coupled with helping a deployed soldier's family—that's what the Dysart Lions Club accomplished Monday by helping a fellow member.  The club surprised Corina Richards by helping her finish some much needed home repair projects.  Richards' husband recently deployed with the National Guard to Qatar.  Her busy schedule serving as both mom and dad to three kids put some yard work and repairs from the July wind storm on the back burner.  Richards say she's used to helping others by volunteering with the Lions, so it was quite a surprise for the club to be helping her.

"It actually makes me feel really good about being here because I am alone.  We're not from here, so we don't have family around here.  Our nearest family is several states away.  So they make me feel kind of like family," Richards said.

The Lions Club finished installing and staining a fence for Richards.  They also put mulch in her front yard and repaired windows broken in July's wind storm.
