DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

The University of Dubuque debuted at number 24 in this week's Division III football coach's poll.  It's the first time the program has ever broken into the top 25.

The ranking comes on the heels of an impressive 56-28 win over Central College.  It was the Spartans' first win over the Dutch since 1987.

Quarterback Wyatt Hanus was named the Iowa Conference Player of the Week for his performance in the game.  Hanus threw for 418 yards while tying a school record with 6 touchdown passes.

The 56 points given up by Central was the most the Dutch had surrendered since 1951.
