Two teams here that bring a lot of offense to the table, but the defense was on display tonight. First drive of the game, Tripoli goes three and out, James Barz back to punt, and Wyatt Holman comes in untouched, blocked punt sets up Riceville at the 10-yard line.
A few plays later, Kenny Linkenmeyer plows his way in for his 19th touchdown of the season. Linkmenmeyer also goes in for the two-point conversion.
Later in the first quarter, Riceville driving again, Allen Koenigs drops back to pass and throws into the open arms of Panther Austin Drewis who brings it all the way back to the 12-yard line. His 3rd interception of the season.
James Barz scores for Tripoli to tie the game at eight.
In the second quarter, Koenigs on 4th and goal goes to Linkenmeyer for the touchdown.
Later in the second quarter, Tripoli knots things up as Shane Buchholz goes in for the 15 yard touchdown.
It was tied at 16 at halftime. Riceville wins 28-22 to remain unbeaten.
