Labor of love for a century farm family

The Tannreuther farm is a Century Farm, so it's safe to say it means a lot to the family. Last weekend's storm made a huge mess with trees and branches down. But a community came together this Labor Day pitching in to help out a deserving family

"I don't know how many, but there is a while crew here," said Bob Tannreuther.

Bob Tannreuther was born and raised on this century old farm in Waterloo. His son and daughter also have homes near by. But when a huge storm hit over the weekend, the once beautiful farm was now a big mess.

Tree's and power lines were down, but Bob's son Bill had other worries.

"Bill had to take his wife to the hospital and they had the ambulance come out at 12:30 and I think already the trees were down."

Now, on this Labor Day bill is in the hospital with his wife.  And to fill the void, volunteers are spending their day off getting their hands dirty and helping this family.

"Well the Tannreuthers are always giving, giving, giving, and it's time to give back," said Marlin Hershey.

"Oh I can't thank them enough. It's so good," said Tannreuther.
