Lions open new stadium with Bang

8TH Ranked Linn-Mar opened their new home stadium and over 7,000 people were on hand tonight to witness history.

Opening kick in the brand new facility and Andy Henry bust through the seem and this kid can fly, streaking down the side line 95 yards to open the game, 7-0 Lions.

After a Kennedy 3 and out the Lions march 53 yards on 8 plays capped by a 15 yard run touchdown by Mitch Wantock, to make it 14-0 Lions.

After a Lion fumble deep in their own territory the Cougars would answer. First play of the second quarter Logan Wedo pounds it home from 2 yards out to cut the deficit in half, 14-7.

But the Lions respond, Brandon Ophoff runs one in from 15 yards out to make it 21-7 Linn-Mar.

And the Lions began to pour it on as Mark Atwater rolls out and finds Zach Martins for a 20 yards Touchdown to make it 28-7 and the Lions go one to roll 42-14.
