Tripoli Panthers begin Season

Posted:
TRIPOLI (KWWL) -

The Tripoli Panther volleyball team got practice under way last week and they will begin their quest for a fourth straight state championship. They are led by senior Megan Gilbert who totaled a remarkable 470 kills last season. Also returning for the Panthers is second team all-stater Bailey Kirchoff and 3rd team all-stater Sara Hoppenworth.

"We all worked to get to the standard that we're at now and we have so much potential to keep getting further so I think once we keep working we'll keep working for a long time, you know volleyball is a long season so we have a lot to look forward to," Gilbert said.

The Panthers will open their season on Sept. 3.
