Ron Paul stumps in Waterloo

Presidential candidates have just a few days left to convince straw poll goers they're the man, or woman for the job.  Before taking the podium in Waterloo Wednesday, former Texas Congressman Ron Paul was introduced by his son, Kentucky Congressman Rand Paul.  Ron Paul spent a lot of time talking with supporters about the need to make our country more financially responsible.

"Debt either needs to be paid off or it needs to be liquidated.  And that's when growth comes again.  So we didn't allow liquid in the 30s and the depression lasted 17 years.  We haven't allowed it this time and nothing has happened.  All that money has gone in. Stock markets are back to where we started off, and people aren't any better," Paul said.

Paul also says he goes against his own party in his stance for cutting defense spending, as he supports an end to military action in the Middle East.
