WEST UNION (KWWL) -

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office says a "joy ride" in a stolen vehicle has led to charges against two West Union women.

Deputies received a report of a stolen vehicle from the West Union area and a possible assault on Tuesday.

An investigation determined that Jennifer Lynn Agan, 26, stole a vehicle and while driving along Highway 18 between Clermont and West Union, got into a fight with her passenger, Maegan Olivia Bakken, 26.

Bakken, who was assaulted by Agan, was arrested after deputies found evidence that she had been delivering prescription drugs and had possession of drug paraphernalia.  She is charged with delivery of prescription medication and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Agan was also arrested and charged with serious assault, possession of prescription drugs without a prescription and operating a motor vehicle without owners consent.
