CHARLES CITY (KWWL) -

Authorities are investigating the crash of a helicopter being used as a crop duster near Charles City.

KCHA radio in Charles City says the pilot escaped the crash, which happened about 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The Floyd County Sheriff's Office says the pilot complained of back pain and was taken to a Charles City hospital with unknown injuries.

The pilot's name has not been released.

The helicopter came down in a pasture behind a house about three miles northeast of Charles City.

This crash comes after two crop dusting related crashes on Monday. A helicopter crashed just west of Joice on Monday morning, and a plane crashed southeast of Vinton Monday evening.
