Anamosa company raises $25,000 for Camp Courageous

An Anamosa company has raised $25,000 for Camp Courageous.

J & P Cycles, which sits just 10 miles from Camp Courageous, held a golf outing and sold water and food at an open house to raise the money.

Distributors of J & P Cycles sponsored holes and awards and made cash donations at the golf tournament.

"Presenting this check to Camp Courageous this year is a true honor," said John Parham, President of J & P Cycles, said in a written statement. "We are thankful to the great support we receive from our customers, employees and manufacturers. We would be unable to do this without them."

For more than 30 years, Camp Courageous has helped children and adults with special needs have a great time with others facing the same challenges in a safe and nurturing environment.

In 10 years of holding the tournament, J & P Cycles has raised well over $125,000.
