Potter fans line up in Cedar Falls

Harry Potter will wave his wand on the big screen for the last time starting Friday. And these ladies admit, they've been under his spell for a long time.

"It's been a childhood thing and it's all ending," says Kelsey Morris.

Since 7th grade, this group of friends have devoured all things Potter. They decided the only way to end it well was to wait.

"We came and we decided it would be fun if we went out with a bang," says Alex Huffman.

The camp out started Tuesday at 9:45 p.m. The movie premieres Friday morning at midnight. That's more than 48 hours in all.

These recent high school grads even have a sign with an hourly countdown. They all say it's going to be a sad good-bye. But they all agree, some things will last.

"It's always going to be around," Kaiti Faye said. "Our kids and grandkids will read it."
