After recent drops, gas prices tick up slightly

Average retail gasoline prices in Iowa have risen 1.5 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.50 per gallon Monday.  This compares with the national average that has increased 0.5 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.57 a gallon, according to gasoline price website IowaStateGasPrices.com.

Including the change in gas prices in Iowa during the past week, prices are now 84.9 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago, but the price is 25.4 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. 

Meanwhile, the national average has decreased 19.8 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 84.0 cents per gallon higher than this time one year ago.
