CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

A simple click of the mouse could provide an infant in need with a basic necessity.

St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids has launched a social media campaign that aims to donate diapers to families in need.

St Luke's is asking for the community's help with this diaper drive.

The campaign is called "Bottom Line: Babies Need Diapers."

For every new "Like" or answered question on the St. Luke's Birth Care Facebook page, now through August 20, St. Luke's will donate a diaper to the Waypoint Madge Phillips Center for homeless women and children. During this community campaign St. Luke's is expecting to donate up to 28,000 diapers to the Waypoint Madge Phillips Center.

Diane Seeleau helped organize the campaign.

"The families in need really are in a difficult position. Diapers are expensive and they are forced to then to decide between very basic needs that many of us take for granted," said Seeleau.

Waypoint is located in downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and primarily serves Linn, Jones, and Benton counties.
