BELLEVUE (KWWL) -

Something magical is happening in Jackson County. Fairies have descended upon Bellevue for a good cause.

10 little fairy-sized houses sit in show windows along the city's Riverview Drive.

It's a fundraiser for the Jackson County Humane Society. People vote for their favorite fairy house by dropping a dollar in the can next to each display. All the houses are up for silent auction, too.

Artists created the structures with items found in nature.

"100 percent of everything goes to the Jackson County Humane Society," fairy house artist and shop owner Barb Hansen said. "There's no middle man, and all the artists - they volunteer their work, they volunteer their time. The store keepers volunteer their windows and their stores, and it's a great thing just to get the community involved."

Bellevue's magical human society benefit runs through July 3.
