CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

An Ely man was injured in a motorcycle accident early Thursday morning and is now facing several charges, including discharging a firearm in the city limits.

Cedar Rapids Police were called to the Shack Tavern on Old River Road at around 11:50 p.m. Wednesday after a man on the roof said someone fired a gun at him and then headed south on a blue Harley Davidson motorcycle.

At around 12:22 a.m. Thursday, Linn County Sheriff's Deputies found a blue Harley Davidson in the 6300 block of Old River Road that had crashed.  Deputies also found a silver handgun near the motorcycle.

At around 2:00 a.m. Thursday, Cedar Rapids officers and Linn County deputies found the owner of the motorcycle, Stacey Berrier, 45, at his home, 1990 Dows Street in Ely, asleep on his couch.

Berrier was taken to St. Luke's Hospital for non-life threatening injuries and then taken to the Linn County Jail.

Berrier is charged with discharging a firearm in the city limits and failure to maintain control.  The accident remains under investigation.

The man that was shot at did not want to file charges.
