Iowa City Police are investigating an assault that was reported to them over the weekend.
A male victim told police that he was assaulted in the alley between the 100 blocks of E. College and E. Burlington just before 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
The man says he was hit in the face by another man and suffered minor injuries to his face, knee and ankle. Police say he declined medical treatment.
The suspect is described as an African-American male, medium build, 6' to 6'2", wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
