Police search for older suspect in Friday morning robbery

Police say a man between 60 and 70 years old robbed a bank in Cedar Rapids Friday morning.

It happened at the Hills Bank branch, at 240 3rd Avenue SE just after the bank opened at 10:00.  Someone reported the robbery to police at 10:13 a.m.

Cedar Rapids police say the suspect is a white male, with silver hair and a mustache.
The suspect is between 5'10" and 6' tall.

At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a dark colored sweatshirt with orange stripes on sleeves, khaki shorts, and dark colored baseball hat with pins on front.

The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Witness saw him last in the atrium of a nearby food court.
