Baked fish can help save your health, fried fish can help ruin

Postmenopausal women who regularly eat baked or broiled fish can significantly cut their risk of heart failure.

A study of more than 85,000 women found those who consumed at least five servings of baked or broiled fish a week were 30 percent less likely to have heart failure than those who seldom ate it.

Researchers say dark fishes like salmon, mackerel and bluefish provided the most protection from heart failure.

But eating fried fish had just the opposite effect.

People who ate just one serving a week had nearly double the risk of heart failure.
