Gas prices finally falling

The average U.S. price of a gallon of gasoline has dropped about 9 cents over the past two weeks.  The Lundberg Survey of fuel prices puts the average price for a gallon of regular at $3.91.

Diesel prices have also fallen about 8 cents a gallon over the past two weeks, to $4.14.

This week, Jackson, Miss., had the nation's lowest average price for gas at $3.60.  Chicago had the highest at $4.38.

These drops come after weeks of continual gas price spikes, where the average gallon of unleaded gas easily topped $4 across the nation.
