CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

Cedar Rapids Police are investigating a credit union robbery that happened Thursday morning.

Police say it happened at 9:00 a.m., just as Community First Credit Union, at 1030 Sierra Drive NE, opened its doors for business.  They say a white man, 5'7" to 5'9" wearing a black jacket and tan hat walked in and handed a teller a note demanding money. He did not show any weapons and was carrying a backpack that had orange or red on the shoulder strap.

He left the credit union with an undisclosed amount of money, got into a black Jeep Grand Cherokee, got onto I-380 and headed south.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Cedar Rapids Police.
