CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

UNI finished 4th with 157 points as only 11 points separated the Panthers from MVC champion Indiana State in one of the closest races ever.  UNI picked up 4 titles along the way during Sunday's finals.

Sam Kranz started things off clearing 16 feet, 9 inches in the pole vault for the title.  Teammate Daniel Gooris provided the second place vault going over the bar at 16 feet, 5 inches.

UNi dominated the discus, with junior Jordan Williams picking up the title with a throw of 182 feet, 6 inches.  The Panthers picked up 4 of the top 7 places in the event.

On the track, the UNI sprinters provided even more fireworks.  Jared Herring took the 100 meters title with a clocking of 10.52 seconds, while football teammate Carlos Anderson was third.  The two teamed up with Wilmot Wellington and Derek Kramer to win the 4 x 100 by 7 tenths of a second over Indiana State
