Men using female eyelash fix for hair loss

More and more men are using a female fix to help grow their hair back.

Women use latisse on their eyelashes.

The FDA approved it back in 2008 to make skimpy lashes grow thicker and longer.

One doctor decided to see what effect it would have on baldness.

"What we're seeing is that the hairs, over time reverse. Meaning they get thicker, darker, stronger. Week by week it gets to a point and then basically plateaus," hair restoration specialist Alan Bauman, M.D., said.

Bauman found no side effects, other than cost.

Latisse is $150 dollars for a tiny bottle.

That lasts about three weeks.

Allergan, the manufacturer of Latisse, is conducting clinical trials on this product for scalp hair seeking FDA approval.
