Noise complaint leads to drug bust at Marion residence

Three people face drug charges after a bust at a Marion residence Tuesday night. Marion police were called to check out a loud noise complaint at 1331-2 Grand Avenue around 7 p.m.

When they arrived, officers smelled marijuana, and discovered more than 2.5 pounds of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

20-year-old Richard Alexander, the person living at the address, along with Jessica Davis, 21, and Leeroy Williams, 19, now face charges.

Alexander was arrested on charges of Drug Tax Stamp violation, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver with 1000' of a school, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Disorderly House.

Davis and Williams both face Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Disorderly House.

Police say that Alexander's girlfriend, Jennifer Sweeney, 21, who was not home at the time, is also charged with disorderly house.

They were all taken to the Linn County Jail.
