Linn County L.O.S.T voter Information

Voters in Linn County decide whether to continue the local option sales tax or L.O.S.T. tax for another 20 years after the current tax expires in 2014.

It would mean an extra penny on every dollar spent across the county.

Tim Box is the Deputy Commissioner of Elections for the county.  He helped create a website for Linn County voters to stay connected with the process.

"In 2009 the turnout was roughly 24% county-wide so we're going to hope for 30%!"  said Box.

Turnout information was unloaded to that page at 11am and 3pm.  The county will post unofficial results after the polls close.
