Man sentenced in Waterloo cocaine operation


A man who brought cocaine from Denver to the Waterloo area now knows his sentence. 40-year-old Lucio Andazola-Fimbres from Milan, Missouri was sentenced to 87 months in federal prison for distributing cocaine.

Andazola-Fimbres pleaded guilty to the charges in December. At the sentencing, Andazola-Fimbres admitted to making at least 7 trips to the area over the course of a year. He hid the drugs in hidden compartments inside his car. He brought the drugs to Mark Hopper and Robert Dale. The pair would prepare the drugs and sell them. Hopper and Dale have already been sentenced.
