Six former Hawkeyes headed to the NFL

Six Iowa Hawkeyes are moving to various cities across the country, after being drafted into the NFL.

On Thursday night, defensive end Adrian Clayborn was a late first round pick. He is going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 20th overall selection.

Saturday, five other Hawkeyes learned their future fate in the NFL. Christian Ballard is headed north to join former teammate Chad Greenway as a member of the Minnesota Vikings. Ballard's stock likely fell some after he reportedly tested positive for marijuana during this year's NFL Combine.

Hawkeye quarterback Ricky Stanzi will be joining one of his favorite former targets as he was drafted early in the 5th round by the Kansas City Chiefs. The pick re-unites him with tight end Tony Moeaki as the two hooked up 30 times for 4 touchdowns during the 2009 season. Stanzi was the 8th quarterback taken in this year's draft.

Defensive lineman Karl Klug also got a 5th round call from the Tennessee Titans.  He's joined by 5th round offensive line pick Julian Vandervelde who will be headed to play for the Eagles in Philadelphia.

Safety Tyler Sash, who left Iowa with one season of eligibility remaining got the call late in the 6th round as he was selected by the New York Giants.
