Five charged with making meth at Evansdale apartment


Five people are in the Black Hawk County Jail after police say they caught them making meth. Evansdale Police say they noticed a suspicious smell coming from an apartment on River Forest Rd. around 11 p.m. Friday. When they went to investigate, they say they saw someone throwing meth-making materials from a window. They also say someone tried to escape out of a window but went back inside once officers approached. Once police made it inside, they say they found an active meth lab. 5 people face charges of conspiracy to make meth. Authorities say 28-year-old Brandy Moore, 22-year-old Raquel Neely, and 26-year-old Damingo Jaramillo lived at the apartment. 30-year-old Michael Dorn of Evansdale and 29-year-old Daniel Dudden from Waterloo were also arrested. Moore also faces a marijuana possession charge.
