STANLEY (KWWL) -

An Oelwein man is charged with Operating While Intoxicated and Child Endangerment following an accident on Friday.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office was called to a single vehicle accident around 2:08 p.m. Friday on L Avenue, just north of Stanley.

When deputies arrived, they found a pick-up truck rolled over in the ditch, but no driver was on scene.

After an investigation, deputies identified the driver as Mark Clifford Fisher, 40.  They say he was driving too fast for the corner and lost control.

Deputies say two kids were in the truck and were injured.  They were found at their home and taken to Mercy Hospital in Oelwein and treated.

Fisher was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated, Failure to Maintain Control and Child Endangerment.

Fisher's wife, Rachel Louise Fisher, 26, is charged with Interference with Official Acts for saying she was the driver of the truck.
