DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

The Dubuque Fighting Saints gave their fans a little something extra in the first USHL playoff game in that city in more than a decade.

The Saints beat Fargo 2-1 in overtime on a goal by Nick Luukko on an unassisted power play 5:57 into overtime. Dubuque grabbed the lead on a Joakim Ryan power play goal with less than five minutes to play in the second period. Fighting Saints goalie Matt Morris played a near perfect game saving 20 of 21 shots, but it was a goal by Fargo's Dan Weissenhofer with 2:34 to play in regulation that sent the game to overtime.

Dubuque leads the series 1-0 with game two on Friday night at the Mystique Ice Center.
