Chicago Bulls revival

It's almost like the good old days at the United Center. The Arena is full and rocking and there are celebrities. Scottie Pippen is courtside wearing a different kind of uniform and the Bulls' new hero is a Chicago kid who was just 10 when MJ hit that winning shot.

MVP favorite Derrick Rose and the young Chicago Bulls have surprised most critics this season. Rose has put up huge numbers 25 points and 8 assists a game while the Bulls have improved 21 wins from last year in posting the best record in the NBA this season 62-20 to claim homecourt advantage.

Chicago Sun Times reporter Rick Telander has covered Windy City sports since he was a college kid at Northwestern in the early 70's. Telander, who was also the senior writer for Sports Illustrated and ESPN the Magazine says it might be unfair to compare Rose to Jordan, but young Derrick is special.

Derrick Rose has been the ultimate team player--focusing on victories and not stats deflecting the MVP talk by praising his teammates and always talking about improving.
