Cyclone basketball player arrested

Cyclone center Jordan Railey-Spaulding was arrested early Thursday for fighting in public.

Ames Police say officers saw Railey-Spaulding, 19, punch another man on Welch Avenue, a popular restaurant and bar district.

Police say he was arrested after walking away from officers. He is charged with disorderly conduct.

Some say this latest incident could put his future with the Cyclones in jeopardy.

Coach Fred Hoiberg suspended Railey-Spaulding, a 6-foot-11 native of Beaverton, Ore., in January for violating team rules after a single-car accident early on New Year's Day.

Railey averaged two points a game as a freshman last season.
