From strikes to gutter balls, it doesn't matter how you bowl this week -- what matters, is who you're bowling for.
Teams are raising money for the SHD Post 730 Waterloo Honor Flight at Cadillac Lanes. Each team member is donating at least $100. In return, they're receiving two bowling games, a t-shirt, and door prizes.
The intent is, each team of five raises at least $500, which is about how much it costs to send a World War II veteran to see their monument in Washington, D.C.
"I think there's 85 vets that go on each flight. And there's enough vets out there from this five county area to send two, three more flights. So we gotta get them there as soon as we can," said Cadillac Lanes owner Adrian Erickson.
The Honor Flight Bowl-A-Thon continues through Sunday, and there are many openings left for teams. For information on how you can sign up, call Cadillac Lanes at 319-234-6888.
