Panther football hosts kids' clinic

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- More than 500 kids from 2nd to 8th grade attended the annual UNI kids day in the UNI-Dome, the largest attendance in the annual event's history.

Panther players and coaches provided instruction and signed autograph's for the youngsters, who all attended for free.  For the UNI players, it's a chance to give back even though they're already in the midst of a grueling spring schedule.

"Our football team, they had a 2 and a half hour practice this morning, got a boxed lunch, and came right back out to do this," said Panther head coach Mark Farley, "but what we all feel of course it's a chance for all these kids to experience the dome, football, and have fun."

The Panthers will end spring practice with the annual spring game on Friday, April 29.
