NORTH ENGLISH (KWWL) -

Two students were hospitalized Friday morning after their school bus was rear ended in North English while it was stopped to pick up kids.

The Iowa County Sheriff's Office says an English Valley Community School District bus, driven by Jan Renee Frederick, 43, of Webster, was stopped at a normal route stop near the intersection of Highway 149 and Clark Street when it was rear ended by a car driven by Michelle O'Conner, 18, of Williamsburg.

About 40 kids were on the bus, two were taken to area hospitals for minor injuries.

O'Conner was also hospitalized.

Another English Valley School bus was used to take the uninjured children to the school.  They were all checked over for possible injuries. None were found.

O'Conner is charged with Failure To Stop At An Assured Clear Distance.
