Two local soldiers injured in Afghanistan

The Iowa National Guard says two local soldiers were injured in Afghanistan on Monday.

Col. Gregory Hapgood says Specialist Timothy Bagley of Brandon and Sgt. 1st Class Eric Lindsey of Eldora were injured during an IED attack.

Both are with Company C, 1st Battalion, 133rd Infantry based in Iowa Falls.

Hapgood says both received treatment at the U.S. facility at Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan before being transferred to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.

They will be transferred to medical facilities in the US.
